 ADDENDUM TO
RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS
AIR FORCE BOARD FOR CORRECTION OF MILITARY RECORDS

IN THE MATTER OF:	DOCKET NUMBER: BC-2013-00610-2
			COUNSEL: NONE
	 		HEARING DESIRED: NO

________________________________________________________________

APPLICANT REQUESTS THAT:

His 17 Dec 10, 11 Mar 11 and 21 Sep 12 Fitness Assessments (FA)
be declared void and removed from the Air Force Fitness
Management System (AFFMS).

________________________________________________________________

STATEMENT OF FACTS:

On 30 Jan 13, the applicant submitted an appeal to the Board
requesting his FAs dated 17 Dec 10, 11 Mar 11 and 21 Sep 12 be
removed. On 29 Jan 14, by majority vote the Board denied the
applicant’s request to void the contested FAs. The Board
concluded there was insufficient evidence to substantiate his
commander’s intent to invalidate the contested FAs. However,
the Board majority stated if the applicant provided supporting
documentation from his commander they would be willing to
reconsider his request. For an accounting of the facts
surrounding his previous request and the rationale of the
Board's earlier decision, see the Record of Proceedings at
Exhibit E.

On 20 Feb 14, he submitted an appeal to the Board which includes
a letter of support from his unit commander to void and remove
the contested FAs from the AFFMS. His commander further states
that if the failed FAs cannot be removed he recommends that the
cardio portion of the tests be exempt.

________________________________________________________________

THE BOARD CONCLUDES THAT:

Sufficient relevant evidence has been presented to demonstrate
the existence of error or injustice. After careful
reconsideration of all the facts and circumstances of the
applicant's case, along with the additional documentation
provided we find it in the interest of justice to recommend
approval of the applicant’s request. In this respect, we note
that the applicant provided supporting documentation from his
commander recommending that the contested FAs be removed from
the AFFMS. As such, we find the evidence presented sufficient
to recommend the applicant's records be corrected to show that
the contested FAs were removed from the AFFMS. Accordingly, we
recommend the applicant’s records be corrected as indicated
below.

________________________________________________________________

THE BOARD RECOMMENDS THAT:

The pertinent military records of the Department of the Air
Force relating to APPLICANT be corrected to show that his
Fitness Assessments dated 17 Dec 10, 11 Mar 11 and 21 Sep 12 be
declared void and removed from the Air Force Fitness Management
System.
